August Mahem, Musings and Milestones...and a Giveaway!

Why, hello there!
Welcome to another opportunity to blog at least one more time a month.
We're up for anything over here...and we want to hear it all.

Crazy teacher days that turn into weeks in the blink of an eye? Share the Mahem. We love it.

A million thoughts a day from what to wear, to what to teach, to what to make for dinner? Thinking about a great book you read? Still reeling from last night's House of Cards or Orange is the New Black? Found a great idea on Pinterest that you are just dying to try? Politics, education, celebrity gossip? We want your musings!

Celebrating a milestone? Great or small, yours or someone else's...we want to celebrate with you.
Get ready for...

This is a very leisurely linky...link up whenever you wish throughout the month.  I'll include a little button at the end of my posts to get you there throughout the month.  You can also search for it through my search box.

I have some cute buttons for you {totally optional, just for fun} Take a peek and then download the August file for yourself.  The buttons are all ready to layer with your own images.  Take a look...

So, let's get started!

First up, my MAYHEM...I think I'm an official Dance Mom.

I admit it, I'm completely caught up in it.  I can't help it.  My youngest daughter just pulled me in.
...and I am NOT one of those TV Dance Moms.  I'm not in it to win it. I'm just in it to be proud of my kid who is just happy doing what she loves. It helps to be part of an amazing dance company, too!

So why is it MAYHEM worthy?

Well, we just got back from a week in Wildwood, NJ for Nationals and it was pretty much: dance, clap, boardwalk (eat horrendously fattening food*), repeat.

*Ok, we literally at a place called "Grab a Weiner (where our buns are small and our weiners are big)." TWICE. Click {here} for a peek at the menu.  Oh yeah, that IS a pulled pork hot dog on the menu and yes, my kid ate THAT!

 I was lucky enough to get a little beach time in there but it was pretty much sequins and tulle for the week.  Ashley was on the performance team and the theme was "Christmas in July." I literally saw the opening and closing number 20 times that week, but I wouldn't change that for all of the presents in toyland!  Here's a peek at my (not so) tiny dancer.  {NYC Rockette dreams activated!}

Now on to my MUSINGS...
As the days of summer fly by, I never fully relax. I think I begin thinking of next year's classroom before the current year is over! I've been thinking a lot about my color scheme and how I can take my room from a primary feel to an upper elementary feel.  I will be teaching those big kid 3rd graders if you haven't heard!
I think I am going with teal, yellow and gray with lots of motivational subway art and chalkboard pennant signs.  I still have a little time to stalk look through all of your blogs for decor ideas!

I'll do a big reveal when it's all set up!

Last, but certainly not least is a special MILESTONE. Although it belongs to my Charlotte, it belongs to her dad and I as well. This year, my first girlie is going to high school - gasp! How can that be?!?

It's bittersweet and beautiful all at the same time. She is continuing in the steps of many of my family members who attended the same school and we couldn't be more proud.

...AND she ROCKS this uniform, don't you agree??

Well kids, that wraps up my August "Ms"! I'm happy to share a little peek at my month with you!

  7. One officer has been charged with drug use and obstruction of justice. An Article 32 investigative hearing -- similar to a grand jury -- has been held, air jordan shoes australia and the case is now being reviewed to determine if that officer will face a court-martial. Black Friday may not be the be-all and end-all of holiday sales (There's Cyber Monday! And every other "take an extra 30% off" air jordan australia email that floods inboxes between now and December 24th.) but it signals that you have less than a month to get your shit together, shopping-wise.
